Wildflower Walks: Mountain Meadows

Join the Sawtooth Botanical Garden (SBG) and the Idaho Native Plant Society for this popular summer wildflower walk series to some of the area’s most diverse and spectacular habitats. Walks are free and happen rain or shine. Bring appropriate outerwear, sturdy walking shoes, water, sunscreen, hat and lunch. Some walks are appropriate for children age 7 years and older accompanied by an adult. Call if you have questions. But please leave Fido at home.
Join retired US Forest Service employee John Shelly for an exploration of streams and moist meadows along the Big Wood River and mountain tributaries. This is the 3rd of the Sawtooth Botanical Garden’s (SBG) popular summer wildflower walks to some of our area’s most diverse and spectacular habitats.
Destination: Big Wood River and mountain tributaries
Meeting Time & Location: Meet at 8:30 AM at Sawtooth Botanical Garden (Highway 75 and Gimlet Rd., 4 miles south of Ketchum) or 9:20 AM at Sawtooth National Recreation Area Headquarters (7 miles north of Ketchum) to carpool.
Return Time: by 1:00 PM
