Critters in the Garden

June 14 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

| $5 - $10

rabbit-in-garden

Look familiar?  No matter where you live in the Wood River Valley, you’ve probably experienced the fondness of voles, rabbits, deer and other critters for veggies and flowers, even trees.  This class will explore why wildlife wants to eat your plants and how to get them to stop. Nonlethal methods will be emphasized. Information will also be presented about plants that resist wildlife depredation as well as those are harmful to wildlife and should be avoided.

Date/time: Wednesday, June 14, 2017; 6:00 – 7:30 PM

Cost: $5 for SBG members/$10 for nonmembers

Instructor: Kelton Hatch has worked for the Idaho Department of Fish and Game for 13 years. He is currently the Regional Conservation Educator for Region 4, an area ranging from Galena Summit to the Nevada border and American Falls to Mountain Home. A 5th generation Idaho native, he grew up on a cattle ranch in Southeastern Idaho and now teaches on a variety of issues facing Idaho residents.
