Plant List

The Xeriscape plant list includes plants suitable for our semi-arid climate in the Wood River Valley. Plants are named both by their BOTANICAL name and their COMMON name. They are grouped into 6 categories: 4 categories related to water requirements and 2 types. The same plant may appear in more than one list. By grouping plants by their water use, you will minimize water waste while ensuring that your plants will flourish in the right environment. Click on the headings below to view each one of the lists. A PDF version of the full plant list is available here. You may also view a preliminary Plant List Table with more details, in PDF format, but it is too large to print (29 by 23 inches) unless you have a large printer.
